Bei der Samenspende handelt es sich um den Prozess, bei dem ein Mann sein Sperma spendet, um einer Person oder einem Paar dabei zu helfen, ein Kind zu bekommen. Das Sperma kann entweder direkt in die Gebärmutter der Frau injiziert (intrauterine Insemination, IUI) oder zur Befruchtung von Eizellen mittels IVF verwendet werden.
Der Samenspender, der anonym bleibt und zwischen 18 und 35 Jahre alt ist, wird von einem Internisten untersucht und unterzieht sich einer Reihe von Labortests:
Blutgruppe – Rhesus
Spermiogramm
Chromosomenkontrolle (Karyotyp)
Hepatitis B und C, Syphilis
HIV
ΝΑΤ: Methode der Molekularbiologie, die innerhalb von 24 Stunden erkennt, ob sich der Spender mit Hepatitis B, C und HIV-Virus infiziert hat
Hämoglobin-Elektrophorese für Thalassanämie usw.
Mycoplasma, Chlamydien (aerobe und anaerobe), Zytomegalievirus, Toxoplasma, Listerien
We hereby inform you that “IAKENTRO”, as a Medically Assisted Reproduction Unit (MAR Unit), will cease its operations, completing a successful 30-year course. The Cryopreservation Bank of our Unit will be transferred with absolute safety by a certified carrier of biological materials to the premises of the MAR Unit “ASSISTING NATURE AE”, located in Pylaia (2 G. Kranidioti Street), where it will be stored.
